Weekly Review by Lisa Harvey

Anyone else think that May flew by? Bus2Alps has been so busy, the beginning of the month of June was a whirlwind of activity with even more students flooding into Europe’s cities. The heat didn’t stop the Florentines from being active this past week with another roundof free iced coffees at Astor and a dinner at Gatto’s where we almost filled the place! We also had trips leaving Thursday with some heading south to Amalfi and others north to Prague and Croatia. Those that couldn’t swing the entire weekend (the good students that you are) also had a kick-butt time in the sun on Sunday at Cinque Terre.

Though Rome and Florence met up on the trips over the weekend, the Rome crew also had a pretty busy weekend with another mouth watering aperitivo on Tuesday at Friend’s Cafe in Trastevere, complete with trip giveaways to raffle winners, Andrew and Sarah, congrats guys.  After Friends we hopped over, in record numbers, to Campo Di Fiori where we mixed and mingled in the open air piazza all night. Wednesday was another night of food, friends, and flowing wine at Tony’srestaurant as we got excited about upcoming adventures and gave away discounted trips to lucky winners, Alycia and Sydney.  For those who could only spare a day, Naples day trip took off Friday and left the entire weekend free.

Barcelona may have felt a little left out, but made up for it with some day trips and prepping for their busy weekendnext week! They even took a quick trip to Tarragona for the day on Saturday. They are confident that the students will love checking out that relatively unknown city and all it has to offer. Welcoming Alex to the crew really set the stage for the summer, and as new students continue to arrive, the fun is just beginning. We’re getting our first tans of the year and making friends faster than you can say “this is the best weekend I’ve ever had” so get your game face on, come visit us through the week and we’ll see you on the bus!
