Friday Day 8 (Paris)

After a nights rest we woke up to another very memorable walking tour with Sandman’s New Europe private walking tours. Over the three hour tour we were able to see and learn about the history of the city.

Stopping by monuments and landmarks such as the Arc du Triumph, Champs Elysee, The Louvre, Musee d’Orsay, Bastille, the Eiffel tower, Notre Dame, and much much more! We finished up our walking tour at about 2 leaving the rest of the day free to explore museums and sight see further.

Thursday Day 7 (Netherlands, Belgium, France)

Departing Amsterdam early yesterday morning we headed back on the bus for 7 hours to Paris, France! Getting in to Paris around 4 p.m. we all freshened up, went out to dinner and met up for a pub crawl around the city!

Wednesday Day 6 (Amsterdam)

With a good nights rest we spent our second full day in Amsterdam, going to see all the museums and areas of Amsterdam everyone wanted to see. Some went to the Heineken brewery and were able to experience how the beer is brewed and others ventured off to see the Van Gough museum and the Reichart museum which houses most of Rembrandts work.

The rest of the day was spent hanging out and exploring more of the city!

Tuesday Day 5 (Amsterdam)

We arrived in Amsterdam at 6:30 am Tuesday morning and checked in to our accommodation at the Saint Christopher’s hostel. Everyone napped for a couple hours and then we all met at 11am in the lobby for our privately led guided tour of Amsterdam.

We started off our tour seeing the Red Light District, then saw the Old and New church, mount Amsterdam, the national monument and the Nieumarket. Half way through we stopped for a break and grabbed a coffee and snack. With another gorgeous day we headed to see the Royal Palace, The Amsterdam museum, VOC/ east India Company, which is the first multi national corporation in the world, and ended at the Anne Frank house.

After the walking tour everyone split off and explored!!!

Monday Day 4 (Berlin)

After a good nights rest, we woke up to clear blue skies and the sun shinning just in time for our walking tour. Our guide met us at the hostel where we began our site seeing at the Brandenberg Gate, learning all about how it was the main city entrance that divided East and West Berlin.  Crossing through the gate we headed to the Jewish memorial located in the center of the city and The Reichstag, which is the German parliament house.

After a short break we then approached the Berlin wall, which separated West and Eastern Germany for about 28 years. Concluding the tour we went to Check Point Charlie, and Museum Island. After our tour everyone split up and explored the city; some heading up the TV tower to see a 360 degree view of the entire city of Berlin, and others going to visit the concentration camps.

Ending our visit in Berlin we had a group dinner at Brauhaus GeorgBraeu and then headed back on the bus for an overnight drive to Amsterdam!

Sunday Day 3 (Prague & Berlin)

After our last breakfast at the Czech Inn we all boarded the bus for a 5-hour drive to Berlin, Germany! We arrived around 3:30 in the afternoon and checked into Saint Christopher’s hostel, with plenty of time to explore downtown and try some traditional cuisine. After dinner the group met up for a pub-crawl to see the eccentric nightlife in Berlin.

Saturday Day 2 (Prague):

At 10:30am we all met in the lobby of the Czech Inn to Head on our own tour of Prague Castle, Kafta museum, the John Lennon Wall and Charles Bridge. Starting At Prague Castle, which is said to be the largest coherent castle complex in the world, we all wandered around the grounds and took in the views of the entire city of Prague. Heading down the stairs from the Castle we made our way to Kafta museum and the John Lennon wall. After many photo opts we strolled across the Charles Bridge and looked at all the souvenirs sold and listened to all the music being played in such a historic part of Prague.

Friday Day 1 (Prague):

Today we arrived in Prague around 9 am and checked into our accommodation at the Czech Inn. After everyone freshened up and ate breakfast we headed on a tour around Prague with Sandemans New Prague Walking Tour. We started in Old Town Square where we learned about the history of Prague and the astronomical clock tower. After exploring the Old Town we headed to the New town and the Jewish quarter to see the Jewish cemetery, synagogues and museums. After the tour the group went off in their separate ways to explore before we all met back up for a pub crawl around the city at 8pm.

    WOW! What a fabulous city, what great friends, and what amazing experiences you all look like you are having. Keep writing in your journal so you can remember all the details.
